Why?
You deserve to be healthy and well because maintaining good physical and mental health is essential for living a joyful, fulfilling, and productive life.
Being healthy allows individuals to pursue their life goals, engage in activities they enjoy, have good relationships, and contribute positively to society in ways they want that feed their soul.
Additionally, good health is a basic human right. Everyone should have access to the support, care, and treatments they need to be healthy and well.
I fully recommend that my clients prioritize their health and well-being in order to live a happy and fulfilling life.
And I wrote this blog post because even though we all know these things are true, we often don't think consciously about this. It is important to remember that you don't have to accept things as they are if you are struggling. Tap into all of your resources and engage in ways that help.
So remember:
1) You have to put the oxygen mask on yourself first.
2) You can't keep someone else warm by setting yourself on fire.
3) You don't need permission to do what you need to do to get and stay healthy.
4) Achieving optimal health is not painless nor easy. But it is WORTH IT!
5) The resources it will take to provide yourself with good self care is an investment in yourself that will pay off greatly in the long run.
6) Taking good care of yourself will allow you to get more back than you have to put into the healing process.
7) When you feel better, you can do more of the things YOU want to do.
8) And YOU DESERVE TO BE WELL!
